First day of observation is tomorrow

Monday I finally got in touch with my teacher that I will be observing under. After countless voice mails and emails sent, she finally emailed me back on Monday and I will be going to George Washington Middle School tomorrow for the day. I'm excited and also really nervous, but mostly excited. I will be with an in-class support science teacher. I'm not to thrilled about being in a science classroom all day, but there is nothing I can do about that. Hopefully I can work something out with the teacher she will send me into another classroom. (fingers are crossed)

good luck to my other classmates that will be observing tomorrow as well.

... and happy thursday, hope you all have a good weekend!

Western Literature

For the past few weeks in my Western Literature class we have been reading the epic Homer's: Iliad. In yesterdays class we just read the part where Patroclus told Achilles that he would put on his armor and go into battle with the trojans. Patroclus' thought was that the trojans would go running for the hills when they saw "Achilles". But in result they went after him and killed him, thinking that it was Achilles. When Achilles found out what had happend he felt very, very guilty and now is seeking revenge on the trojans. He is seeking revenge because the trojans kept Patroclus body. In that time period that was a big deal because to have a proper funeral they would need the body present. At this point in the epic Achilles is very mad and upset that he let Patoclus go into battle pretending to be him and is now getting ready to go into battle to take back Patroclus' body and to kill th trojans.
